Ride for Karen ~ September 6th, 2008
We found out a local woman, who in her capacity at Tim Horton's serves us each and every day, was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. We wanted to do something to support her in her fight against this disease. We organized a Poker Run Fundraiser in her honour. We were very successful in our Ride! The efforts put forth by the group as a whole were tremendous! We began planning only 9 days before the event, but things came together, and our efforts put forth turned out to be outstanding with a grand total of $2923. Karen was not only moved but also very thankful. One less thing she has to worry about so she can concentrate on herself right now.
